Trip to Vero Beach, FL.

I am currently sitting on the couch, and i'm feeling a little crispy....from my fresh sun burn. :)
Thursday we took the afternoon and went to Honeymoon Island. It was the Jaxon's first time really getting
to play on the beach. He love it! In fact, he loved it so much, he feel asleep on a floatie in the Gulf! haha. But thursday was just a warm up. We were excited to be headed to Vero Beach (Atlantic Ocean) the next morning. When Jay got called in to work the over night shift. Regardless we still went. We got to Vero Beach around 1:30 and decided on lunch at Mulligan's. My favorite little coastal restaurant. We sat outside, watching the ocean, and listening to a carribean band. Jax learned to drink from a straw, and hit on his first chic....if fact he kinda stalked her. lol. The singer tried to get layson to come up and dance, because he caught layson dancing by the table, but layson freaked...he was so embarassed. HAHA Loved it. The beach was a blast as always. Layson and I couldn't get enough of the waves. (even after I got pummeled to the ground and beat by the huge waves)...and yes I have cuts and scrapes to prove it. But who cares, it par for the course. Jaxon loved the ocean, as long as the waves didn't touch him WHILE they were breaking. Near the end of the day, Jay got a call from work....and because he had worked the night before they were letting him have saturday off! Which means.....we stayed overnight! AWESOME! We headed to TJMAXX...with sand in our pants....and bought the essentials to make it through. lol. Anyways, today we woke up exhausted, but headed out to the beach around 11. Layson and I learned to surf the waves with boogie boards, (although it wasn't so pretty at first and I drink more ocean water then I'm sure is recommended. lol). It was fun to go out in the big waves and ride them in once I figured it out....but layson wouldn't....the smaller ones worked him over too many times...he was content to "fight" the waves with his fist....the ocean waves won...don't worry. Jaxon spent most of his time diggin in the sand ...or eating it. yuk! I took him out into the ocean when we first got there this morning, and I hadn't really assessed the waves for the day....lets just say....I took the warning serious. Jax and I got taken down and under by the second wave. I lost my glasses, cut my side up....but I somehow kept jaxon up and safe. (he was scared and wet...but good). After that....I did mostly sunbathing. and jax and layson dug a hole. Jay watched. lol.

Anyways, we had alot of fun. We're tired....a little burnt, though I think the worst of it will be gone by tomorrow. Can't wait for next weeks adventure.
